Healthy High Protein Meatza.

Eating healthy does not need to cost the earth. This recipe is easy to make and healthy. It is a cross between meat and pizza. This is a high-protein dish. It is also delicious and consuming high protein has been proven to help the body metabolism.

Making this recipe is fun and you can decide what topping goes on your meatza. I opted for bell pepper using all the three colours available. I love peppers, so let your love show through the toppings you choose to use.

Here’s what you need and how I made mine

Ingredients.

500g lean minced meat.

1 chopped red pepper

1 chopped green pepper

1 chopped red onions

A bunch of broccoli

Salt and pepper

1 tbsp dried or fresh mixed herbs

2 tbsp tomato puree

1 tbsp oil

50g Mozerella cheese or light cheddar cheese

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celcius. Place the minced meat in a bowl and season with cracked pepper corn. Mix up using your hands making sure it is well mixed with the peppercorn.

On a baking tray, flatten the minced meat out until it’s about 2-3cm thick. Place in the oven and let it cook for about 15 minutes until the juice coming from the meat runs clear and the meat is cooked thoroughly.

Prepare the topping while the meat is cooking. Heat the oil in a frying pan on a low heat, saute the onions, add the mixed herbs and the chopped peppers. Cook for 2 minutes stirring occasionally. Season with salt and pepper if necessary. Set aside.

Remove the meatza from the oven. Drain the juice (if any). Cover the meat with tomato puree making sure the tomato puree spread across the entire meat top. Spread evenly.

Add the peppers and onions mixture along with the broccoli on top of the meatza. Let the peppers and onions cover the tomato puree evenly. Sprinkle a thin layer of cheese on top.

Return back to the oven and cook for 3 minutes or until the cheese melts.

Serve and enjoy.
