Many people know the benefit of herbal tea, but, few people know something about bath tea. Just like the name suggests, bath tea is a herbal bath. Bathing with herbs and natural salts help in many ways. It is a good way to relax and de-stress, it helps to soothe aching joints and muscles. Bath tea helps the circulation of the blood and stimulation of the body.
Bath tea made the right way enhances the natural healing and soothing, the healing properties of all ingredients help relieve stress and help with calmness.
Bath tea can be made using a selection of herbs such as lavender, marigold, chamomile, rose petal or any herb that matches your mood or meet your therapeutic needs. Adding natural salt to your bath tea aids the healing properties as natural salts have other beneficial properties.
To make your bath tea, you need a selection of herbs or flowers that meet your needs. Each herb has a job to do and selecting rightly supply your therapeutic needs. I used pink Himalayan salt, dried lavender and dried marigold.
You can choose different types of salt such as Epsom salt or any other natural sea salts. It is important to know that natural sea salts are different from table salt. In this instance, table salt or cooking salt cannot be used.
To make my stress-reliever bath tea, you need the following.
Ingredients
Himalayan salt or any natural salt of your choice 150g
Dried lavender
Dried Marigold
Clean Jar with Lid 250g
Rose Geranium essential oil (optional) 10 drops
Olive oil (Optional) 15ml
To start, spread out all your ingredients. You can have a mental division on what proportion you want. I have 6 layers of salt and herbs in my jar.
Fill the jar with salt, next, top the salt with your dried flower, then add more salt to cover the dried flowers or herbs. Do this until the jar is filled up. Be creative, it is fun.
You can omit the essential oil and olive oil, however, if you decide to use, use 5 drops of essential oil to every 100 grams of salt, add the olive oil and stir together before you start layering. Fill your jar and place the lid tightly. This will keep for up to 18 months in an airtight container.
To benefit from your hard work, add about 70g of the mixture to your bath, let it infuse for about 5 minutes. Dive in and enjoy!
